You should pick up a guitar and play WEBB WILDER now!

Thanks to Dan for the following:

TOUGH IT OUT
As recorded on Webb Wilder's 1991 Zoo/Praxis album "Doo Dad" As humbly transcribed by Dan Amrich (DanAmrich@aol.com) for the World Wide Webb Wilder page

Hello, people of the loving public:

* I am writing this transcription with the beginner guitarist in mind. If I lose anyone, feel free to drop me an email at Dan Amrich@aol.com and ask for clarification. If you can't read guitar tablature (the numbers on the lines), there are many guides available on the Internet, or just pick up a copy of Guitar World or Maximum Guitar magazines to use as reference (plug, plug).

* The entire rhythm part of "Tough It Out" is played with power chords--the root note and its fifth counterpart two frets up on the string above (in pitch). I won't bother to tab out the power chords, but you can reference the chord chart at the end of this file to see how and where on the fretboard the chords are played. There are also two guitars in this mix, but I'm arranging for one.

* Tune your guitar down a half-step to Eb across the board (high to low: Eb, Ab, Bb, Gb, Db, Eb) in order to play in tune with the record. Chord names will be listed as if the guitar is tuned a half-step down (in other words, while you're really playing an Eb chord, I'm notating it as an E, since that's how your fingers will be positioned). I would also expect that you have a copy of the song so that you can work out some of the staccato rhythms by ear.

* Most of the leads, I'm afraid, are beyond my ability--hey, Webb's playing with some of the best cats in the biz, and I sure as hell can't keep up with them. Any lead lines or riffs that are in here are as close as I could come and the easiest arrangements. If you find a better way to play 'em, use it, or simply improvise your own lead.

* While I have tried my best to be accurate, I'm merely an amateur guitarist & transcriber, and I could be wrong on anything in this document. I don't claim to be correct or an expert; I just want people to play and enjoy Webb's music. So apologies for anything that ends up wrong; use this as a loose guide, and the rest will take care of itself.
